Two initiatives are set to increase the number of trees in our area. The first, from the Woodland Trust invites you to apply for two free trees:

The deadline for this is 5 November.
The second initiative comes from The Mayor of London who is working with The Conservation Volunteers to give away 25,000 trees to community groups, schools, and other organisations across the city to make London greener and help bring cleaner, fresher air to all Londoners. The trees come in packs of 50 saplings – and they are designed to be planted in communal open spaces. So this is more suitable for community groups.
Its all part of a great tree panting weekend on 1 and 2 December.
