Residents will have seen the feasibility work being carried out on the park. Details were posted on our website last month.
Wates (who have been contracted by the Education and Skills Funding Agency to design and build the school) have been having pre-application discussions with the planning department. This is a service that all Councils offer developers, and is encouraged by the government. As your ward councillors, we have asked Wates to consult with residents before they submit a planning application, and we are pleased to see that arrangements have been put in place to hold a public drop-in event on Wednesday, 3rd April 2019 at the Briefing Room, Sutton Sports Village between 14.30 and 20.00. Please go along to see the plans and let them know your views. Given that this school is proposed for a public park, we will be looking for a high quality design that enhances the area, and that issues such as parking and access are being addressed.
If you are unable to attend the drop in, the plans will be available through the Greenshaw Learning Trust website here, from 4 to 12 April.Leave a comment
