The next Local Committee will be on Thursday 6 June at 7pm at the Holy Family Church Hall, Sorrento Road.  Cllr Ali Mirhashem from Sutton Central is taking over as the committee chair as Marlene steps back to support him as vice chair.  You can see the agenda and papers here. Apart from an update on parking, the main item is a presentation on the town centre Conservation Area.  This initiative grew out of the work done by the Heritage Action Zone project, which identified a number of important frontages along the High St which need to be protected.  As a result the existing High St Conservation area, based around the Cheam Road cross roads is to be extended down the High St.

As part of the local improvements the meeting will be considering an upgrade to the Rosehill Park playground.  Other playgrounds in the area have been upgraded and we have been pressing for some time for Rosehill Park.  There will also be updates on other schemes, and the usual public question time. As we are expecting a good turnout for the meeting, it will be ticketed, and tickets available on a first come first served basis.
