The resurfacing, at St Dunstan’s Hill, will take place between Thursday 11 March and Wednesday 24 March 2021.   The road will be closed between Alma Crescent and the Cheam Road traffic lights.  Traffic will be diverted at the Rosehill roundabout and at the Cheam crossroads.

This is a substantial resurfacing which will treat the road’s foundation in order to address noise and vibration issues experienced in some locations.  Although the Northbound and Southbound carriageways will be worked on separately, for safety reasons they need to close the all lanes as part of this work.

As a result traffic from all adjoining roads and properties within the work area will not be able to access the A217.
