We share the sense of shock to learn that four young children have sadly died following the house fire in Collingwood Road.

Cllr Ruth Dombey, as Leader of the Council has issued the following statement, and Marlene and Steve share her thoughts:   

The Council is working closely with the emergency services who are making the scene safe.  The road will be reopened as soon as it is safe to do so.  Residents will have a lot of questions.  Many cannot be answered until the Fire Service and the Police have finished their investigations.
