In April last year Sutton Council turned down a planning application for a five-storey development of 30 flats on the Prince Regent site. The main reasons for refusal were the lack of affordable housing and the harm that the layout and design would cause to the surrounding area. The developer has appealed against this decision. The appeal documents are here.
The informal appeal hearing will be held at the Council’s offices at Denmark Road, Carshalton, on 18 June, from 10am and is scheduled to last three days. The hearing is open to the public, who may, with the agreement of the inspector, give their views.
