At the next meeting of the Sutton Local Committee on Thurs 13 December we will be treated to festive carols performed by a brass band and the Sutton Youth Choir from Sutton Music Service.
The meeting is at 7pm at the Salvation Army, Benhill Avenue, and the agenda is here.
After that seasonal introduction, there will be the usual public question time. Please come ready to ask questions about items not already on the agenda.
Age UK Sutton will talk about the work they do in the Borough and how they support local residents.
We will present an update on the Heritage Action Zone, showing how the heritage of Sutton High St can support interest in the history of the town centre while promoting economic growth.
There will be the usual update on public realm projects and neighbourhood grants. The committee will be noting the recent opening of the café on Sutton Green – hope you have all popped in for a cup of tea! Also hope you have noticed the Christmas lights have been extended down the High St and now go to Sutton Green! Other highlights:
The meeting will not cover the parking proposals which got a good airing at the special meeting on 2 November. If you have any questions on the proposals please get in touch with us, and respond by Sunday 16 December to the consultation here: https://www.sutton.gov.uk/parkinghaveyoursay
