January update

by Sam, Ruth and Chris on 3 February, 2023

The first month of 2023 may have been relatively quiet, but your local Lib Dem team have been continuing to work hard including:

  • Continuing to tackle flooding at The Green.
  • Visiting the new Family Hub at Sutton library to help families who are struggling.
  • Promoting the Warm Spaces in Sutton where residents can get support and advice on energy bills and discount entitlements.
  • Speaking to the media about the Mayor’s plans to extend the ULEZ charge to Sutton and how unfair this is on our residents.
  • Tackling street cleanliness in Blenheim Road.
  • Marking the Lunar New Year at an event at Sutton Library.
  • Celebrating Tamil heritage and contribution to the borough.
  • Attending Sutton North ward police panel.
  • Lobbying local MPs and government to provide Free School Meals to hungry children.
  • Attending public exhibition on plans to rebuild Greenshaw High School.
  • Continuing to help residents with casework.

In case you haven’t heard, TfL plans to axe one bus an hour on the 213 which runs from Sutton Bus Garage to Kingston.

This is such an important bus route and will be a disastrous move by the Mayor. Please sign our petition by clicking here and help us fight these cuts.
