Pavement parking scheme for Calthorpe Gardens

Action is at last in sight to tackle the parking problem in Calthorpe Gardens.  Residents are aware of the parking difficulties in this narrow road, which have caused access problems for residents, deliveries, refuse vehicles and emergency services.

 Residents have looked with councillors at a range of options to solve the problem and there have been meetings.  Following consultation last year a pavement parking scheme has been agreed.  The plan is here: T10168 – Calthorpe Gardens 
The traffic order has now been approved and becomes operational from 4 July, though it is not yet clear when the work will start.  Many thanks to residents for their patience with this.
