The planning application for the demolition of The Prince Regent public house has been turned down by Council officers.
The application has been refused on two grounds; the first reason relates to the removal of permitted development rights while the Asset of Community Value nomination is being considered; and the second reason for refusal relates to insufficient information and details being provided about the proposed demolition process.
A
planning application for the construction of flats on this site is still being considered by planning officers, as are applications by local residents for the pub to be locally listed and to be designated an
Asset of Community Value.
We will continue to keep you updated on developments.
