Real Christmas Tree Drop Off Points

Real Christmas Tree Drop Off Points

For this Christmas, Christmas tree drop off points are being piloted in the borough. This will provide more options for residents to dispose of their real Christmas tree.

From now until Sunday 13 January, there are three locations across the borough where you can drop off your real Christmas tree to be recycled.

The sites are open from 9:30am-3:30pm:

The Mount, Clockhouse – on the green opposite the Jack & Jill pub, CR5 2QY
Roundshaw Park, Lindbergh Road, SM6 9HB
Kimpton Refuse and Recycling Centre, Kimpton Park Way, SM3 9QH
All decorations and tree pots must be removed prior to disposal.

Kerbside Collections

From Monday 14 January to Saturday 26 January 2019, real Christmas trees will be collected free from houses on the standard kerbside collection service. All decorations and tree pots must be removed.  Trees will need to be placed out for collection by 6am on the day of your normal brown wheelie bin collection.

Waste and Recycling – Christmas Catch Up

Recycling and waste collections have changed during the Christmas and New Year period with collections taking place up to three days later than usual.
Collections return to normal from Monday 14 January 2019.
