During the month of February, your Lib Dem councillors in Sutton North have been working hard on various topics, including:

• Meeting with Friends of Sutton Green about their plans for this year and supporting the work they are doing.
• Responding to resident complaints about street cleaning and reporting and following it up with the council.
• Getting graffiti removed on the Topps Tiles wall by Victoria Gardens.
• Chasing up with Highways and SES Water about flooding at The Green.
• Supporting Ukrainian refugees who have fled their country.
• Gaining Council funding for CCTV in Rosehill Park West car park to address antisocial behaviour.
• Agreeing lighting on the path across Sutton Green so people feel safer in the dark.
• Gaining Council funding of a defibrillator in Granfers Community Centre.
• Agreeing Council funding for flag poles in Rosehill Park West and Rosehill Park East to celebrate their Green Flag status.
• Funding CCTV in Greenshaw Woods at the request of the police

Sam and Ruth attended the Sutton Local Committee earlier this month.

There was a packed agenda which included reviews of the warm spaces by Volunteer Centre Sutton, town centre regeneration and public realm funding for our community.
